WIAW: Saratoga Springs Beerfest
Hi friends – happy Wednesday! The week is halfway over and we’re one day closer to the weekend (thank GOODNESS). Lately it seems like when it rains, it pours. Things have been seriously crazy at work, I’ve been slacking off on hitting the gym, and eating out way too much (Chipotle, you’re going to be the death of my bank account).
All this rolled up together has made me feel like crap. And the snowy, dreary weather doesn’t help.
I need a vacation.
Being Wednesday – it’s WIAW! This is my first time in awhile joining in, and it’s not exactly pretty (see reasons why above). But hey, let’s get started!
As previously mentioned, I’ve been eating out way too much and mainly because this is what our refrigerator looks like.
FYI: that’s “full”. Grundy, Kayla, and I haven’t been grocery shopping in almost 3 weeks. Work has been crazy for all of us which has led to us just slacking off and taking the easy route (HIII Chipotle).
Breakfast was unpictured scrambled eggs and MY FIRST EVER DUNKIN’ DONUTS ICED COFFEE.
I am officially a New Englander. And I like iced coffee, who would of thought??
Lunch was a mixed greens salad with chicken, pasta salad, and hard boiled eggs with a raspberry balsamic dressing. It was good, but not great.
Dinner was another to-go order meal. I ran to a local Italian place and picked up a bowl of their spaghetti and meatballs. IT WAS GOOOOOOD. In fact, it’s all I can think about right now…

In case you didn’t see on Twitter, this past weekend I made my way to Albany to visit my two friends Lynn and Justin for Lynn’s birthday! Lynn and Justin both went through training with me in Rhode Island and Justin has just recently been relocated to Salt Lake City! We decided to all get together one last time before he made the move to Utah!
It just so happened that Saratoga Springs was hosting their annual beer week. A craft beer fest with unlimited sampling, a roundtrip party bus, and a free pretzel? SIGN ME UP.
I had the best day getting drunk trying new beers, playing drinking games and spending time with some of my closest friends.
Not to mention, I tried to take on DAS BOOT!
I came, I saw, I conquered failed.
It was a wonderful weekend.
Oh and for future reference, this is how you stay occupied on a 3 hour roadtrip to Albany. For your viewing pleasure…
You’re welcome everyone.

Albany!! My neck of the woods! Sounds like a fantastic time. I can’t believe you haven’t had an iced coffee yet?! Now you’re definitely a true New Englander!
I know, Grundy has gotten one every morning for the past year (+) I’ve known him. I don’t know he hasn’t tempted me before this!
I didn’t know iced coffee was a new england thing haha that’s too funny
Hahaha I just always associate Dunkin’ Donuts with the northeast because people up here are crazy over it!
How fun – gotta love beer fests
That boot is INSANE! Love it!
I was not a fan of the boot the next day
I’m assuming my invite got lost in the mail.
I was wondering why you weren’t there! Stupid US post office.
