Marvelous in My Monday

January 28, 2013

Good morning friends! I’m happy to get this week started, which is such a nice change from my usual Monday morning grumpiness. Waking up on the right side of the bed has it’s perks ;) Being in such a great mood, I decided to participate in Katie’s Marvelous In My Monday.

Here are a few things that are making my Monday simply Marvelous :)

Spending the entire weekend cleaning to have a spotless apartment when the week starts. We may have had to clean the apartment considering we threw a Mardi Gras themed party Saturday night. You don’t joke around with Dollar General Mardi Gras decorations.

We also may or may not have turned our living room wall into a chalkboard. Sorry I’m not sorry.

Days where the sun is shining, snow’s on the ground, and there’s not a cloud in the sky.

Writing about my travels to Europe last summer. I’m having such a blast writing about something I loved so much, andΒ I love reliving the best trip I’ve ever taken (plus sharing it with all of you!). In case you missed it, you can read about my trip’s to London and Amsterdam. The best part? There’s more to come :)

The fact that I don’t have to dress like an Eskimo in my own apartment anymore.

Monday morning g-chat gossip sessions with Alyssa. We’re sexy & we know it.

This text message I woke up to:

Yes, I’m mature.

And last but not least, my Monday is simply marvelous because each passing day leads me closer to Ohio this weekend!!

Let’s rewind. Last week I was feeling seriously bummed out. I don’t know if it was homesickness creeping in or just the Boston winter, but I wanted to get away from the city for a little bit. Someone must have been looking out for me because the next morning I woke up to find a message from my cousin begging me to come visit her in Ohio for the weekend.

I checked prices online and an hour later my flight was booked. This weekend not only do I get to see my aunts, uncles, and cousins in Ohio – but I’ll be spending Saturday out in the country with my cousin, her fiance, and his friends. We’re going four wheeling and RZR riding and will be drinking copious amounts of Busch Light and Apple Pie Moonshine.

Looks like I’m in for a (buck)wild ride – and it’s exactly what I’ve needed! Ohio, see you Thursday!!

Let’s Talk – What is marvelous about your Monday? What did you do this weekend?

I don’t blame you one bit for wanting to get out of Boston! This frigid weather has been too much :( Ironically, it’s going to be 55 tomorrow haha

Also, I love your wall chalkboard. I wouldn’t be sorry if I had one either.

The wall chalkboard might be my favorite invention. Besides our homemade mouse trap of course ;)
