“Ohhhh Sometimes I Get a Good Feeling”

Friday afternoon I skipped out of work about 15 minutes early to beat the traffic home. I quickly packed my bag for the night, hailed a cab, and I was on my way to Dani’s house. What was the occasion? We had tickets to the AVICII concert that night at the TD Garden!!

In case you’ve never heard of him, AVICII is a Swedish DJ and record producer specializing in electronic dance music. Some songs you may know are Levels, Sunshine (recorded with David Guetta), and Bromance. I wasn’t big into EDM or house music until I went to Europe last summer. Since becoming a fan of electronic dance music, I’ve been dying to go to a music festival! Unfortunately I’ve had a conflict with every festival that’s come up so when I saw that AVICII was coming to Boston I jumped on the tickets before they were sold out.

After work Dani and I met up at her apartment to have a few drinks with one of our other friend’s Amanda and figure out what on earth we were going to wear! Another thing I love about house music concerts is that if it ain’t neon, it shouldn’t be on.

The minute we arrived at the Garden we saw a line out the door full of other neon-wearing AVICII loving ravers. I was in heaven :) We had arrived to the Garden a little later than we wanted so we missed the first opening DJ. The second DJ was good, but I don’t remember much because I was so excited for AVICII!

Once the lights went down, the crowd went wild and the glowsticks came out. We were ready to rage!

To say I had a good time is an understatement. AVICII put on the best performance I’ve ever seen, hands down. The music, the lights, the atmosphere, the people, it was by far the best night I’ve had in Boston and one of the best nights of my life!

The rest of the weekend was extremely low key. I spent all day Saturday in the fetal position catching up on Grey’s Anatomy. **SPOILER ALERT** cannot believe they killed off Lexie in the finale!!!

I went to bed early Saturday night and woke up Sunday morning feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. After eating some peanut M&M’s for breakfast (woops) I decided I couldn’t stay inside any longer. I hit the gym and then went for a walk around Boston. I’ll tell you one thing, there’s nothing I love more than a beautiful summer day up here in the Northeast.

Now I’m off to the office for the day. I have about 20 reports with my name on it and a conference call at 2:30. Ohhhh sometimes I get a good feeling (that I’m going to have a looooong day ;)). At least today marks exactly 15 days until I visit Kim in DC for the 4th of July! Let the countdown begin…

Happy Monday!! :)

Isn’t AVICII ahhhhhmazing? I went to his show in Austin and he performed when I was in Israel, which was sickest performance I have ever gone too.

Peanut M&Ms sounds like a pretty gooood breakfast too me. I’ve been seeing these like salty and sweet M&M packages at the store with like pretzels and M&M’s. They are soooo tempting.

Avicii was SO amazing. Like I feel silly saying it over and over again but words can’t describe how great he was!!

And Israel? So jealous! A bunch of my sisters went this past year for birthright and had the most amazing time!

OH my gosh, I knew we were meant to be friends. You like to dance, eat froyo, and love Avicii? Instant blogging besties. I can’t wait for HLS & our next blogger meetup (whenever we get around to planning it!)

Oh man, when I hear “Levels” come on the radio, I have serious problems not completely rocking out to it while driving. Probably not the safest song to listen to behind the wheel, haha. Looks like an awesome concert! (Btw, thanks for the comment over on my blog!)

Hahaha you should have seen me at the concert! I was jumping up and down all over the place (which is probably why I woke up with a ridiculous amount of bruises over my legs). BUT it was totally worth it :)

My thoughts exactly :) It was a great time! I’m glad you had fun at the beach this past week, I miss Florida & Daytona like CRAZY!

Are you going to Sensation in NYC? I’m looking for tickets on Craigslist because once they announce the lineup, I’M THERE!
