Daddy’s Little Girl
For the past twenty three years of my life I’ve been told that I am my father’s daughter. From the way we look to the way we act, my family has always sworn that I’m my dad reincarnated.
Although my mom and I are best friends, it wasn’t always that way. Growing up my dad was my go-to parent. I didn’t understand how my girlfriends were so close with their mom’s when my dad was my best friend. He picked me up everyday in elementary school and brought me to softball practice every night. He taught me how to throw, to catch, and when I hit my first home run, he was the first person I looked for in the stands.
I was daddy’s little girl.
We both have blue eyes and skin that tans easily. We have short stubby legs and big ol’ heads We have strong work ethics and if we have to, we know how to fake it til we make it. When we get frustrated we tend to have limited patience. When we can’t figure something out, we get pissed off. We love being the life of the party and bust out our dance moves. We don’t always dance well. We’re two peas in a pod, and I couldn’t imagine having any other dad in the world. He is my inspiration, my motivation, and my hero.
Although I love living in Boston, it’s days like today that I would give anything to be able to drive to my house and spend time with my family. But since that’s not an option, I guess a beer stein from Hofbrauhaus in Germany will have to do instead
Happy Father’s Day Dad! I love you!!
