Home is Where the Heart is

November 5, 2011

Bad Bloggersee Sara.

These past two weeks of work have been full of challenges, assignments, projects. Each one of these has been an opportunity to show my trainers, supervisors, and the top executives at my company what I’ve got to offer. I decided to take a time out from blogging and throw myself 150% into succeeding.

And I did :D

They’ve also led me to take a time out when it comes to keeping up with my blog. I’ve been slacking in the blogging department. I’ve been sporadic with my posts. I’ve been a disappointment. But all that will change.

I’ve missed blogging terribly and I don’t plan on giving it up again. I can find that balance between work, play, and blogging so that I can do it all. After all, blogging has my heart :)

Have you ever heard the saying home is where the heart is?

Well, I used to think that was back in Florida with everything I’ve ever known.

Now I know better.

Home has been here in Providence. It’s with the wonderful company that has been nothing short of amazing. It’s with my trainers who are both mentors and friends I’ve come to trust whole-heartedly. It’s with my fellow trainees, who have honestly changed my life for the better. They’re more than just co-workers, they’re friends who have turned into family.

Today, I’ll be leaving this place I call home. I’ll be trying to shove everything I own back into those two suitcases that you swore fit more when you were on your way out here. And after hours of sitting on the top of the suitcase while my roommate tries to zip it up, I’ll realize that I have more stuff than I came here with. After successfully shoving all that’s left into my carry on, I’ll say my goodbye’s, lock the door behind me, and head back to Florida.

Whoa.

It’s amazing how time flies. As much as I love being here, I’m excited for the next stage and adventure in my life.

Speaking of the next stage, I bet you’re all just DYING to know where I’ve been transferred to ;) I’m surprised I’ve been able to keep it a secret this long (I’ve never been good at keeping secrets). But before I tell you, I want to hear YOUR thoughts. Instead of saying where I’m going, I’m going to share with you all the list of branches that were available and see what office YOU think I’m going to :)

Drumroll please………

The options for our training class were: Long Island, Albany, Phoenix, Seattle, Philadelphia, Hartford, Boston, Providence, Dallas, and Northern Jersey.

So let’s hear it! Where do you think I’m going??
